The latest version of a very durable shoe designed for orienteering. They have been equipped with 9 carbon spikes improving grip in extremely difficult conditions - on the roots, litter or slippery mud also in winter on snow and ice. The studs are mounted in powerful, rarely spaced tread studs, which in themselves give great traction.
The material from which the spikes were made is tungsten carbide - a chemical compound considered to be a cheaper and more temperature resistant diamond alternative. Because of its high hardness, it is used in cutting tools, projectiles, etc. Conclusion: these spikes can be absolutely sure.
The sole is made of two types of rubber - a soft one creates a tread, while a hard one surrounds the spikes. The solid covering material will not even be subjected to barbaric treatment during short distance competitions. In the new version, the entire upper is made of durable, densely woven material, with a DWR coating applied to it, preventing water and mud from getting inside. Without a felt wrapper, it looks much lighter and slimmer than the traditional oroc 280 version.
The oroc model is dedicated to racing at a high level in really difficult terrain.
inov-8 is the official supplier of equipment for the British national team in orienteering. He also won the recognition of players who won medals at the Polish BnO championships.
