The Nike Air Max 90 is a running shoe from 1987. They were the first shoes from the Nike brand to use a "visible" gas cushion in the sole - the Air Max system. Their designer - Tinker Hatfield - inspired by the "transparent" Georges Pompidou Center building in Paris, wanted to create something equally interesting and controversial at the same time. The effect of his actions were Air Max 1 shoes, in which one could literally look inside the soles. Of course, at first they were shocked by innovation and appearance, but they worked well on the legs of runners - professionals and amateurs. At the moment, the Air Max 1 model is iconic. Nike calls them the "icon" of the Nike Sportswear collection. As in the case of the Air Max 90 model, countless color versions, collaborative editions as well as manually modified editions have been created for 25 years. "Custom".
